[Food] Birthday Bash Pt I

Hi, been awhile since I blogged. Thank you loyal readers whom inquired where I have gone missing. And thank you for having me back *wink*

I have always envied others where they have a whole month lined up for birthday celebrations. Although I did not have the whole October up for celebrating occasions, still thinking back, I feel blessed to have spent it with close friends, families and him. Because every moment being with them are so precious and for the amount of time and effort they put into planning, made me love them even more. They say you don't need a lot of companions, close ones will do.

First up, this gift came very early. Which one I must thank sincerely cause it takes alot of effort I know. From ordering, delivering to reaching my house, I suppose take months. Malaysia customs aint that easy to go through. Have tried one of these beats headphones when visiting music stores. Absolutely love its sound, but never thought I would own something so expensive for things that I wont spend great $$ on.

#1  And came in one of my favourite colour too, white with hints of red. Basic, a lil sporty and trendy. Purfect for the feminist. Oh I must say the packaging is very well presented. Personally, love these with bossanovas. The bassline is like turning on theater speakers at home.

#2  First pearl in entire 24 years of life. Always thought pearls adds extra numbers to one's age because my mom wores them. So never a chance of pearl appearance in my jewellery closet. But when I put this on, it's not that bad. Brings about a more matured pairing and a feminine side too. Great tip for ya all : Don't get the whole chain of pearl, some studded diamonds reckons its elegance.

#3  Short celebration with le bii at Genting. Why Genting, you may ask. Just miss the cold weather, redeem my free room and oh pictures of yellow lilies were taken at mushroom farm, questions answered. And a must eat - ubi bakar (burnt sweet potato?) These are planted at volcanoes' base in Jawa, Indonesia. Known for their sweetness and imagine having a hot vapor blewing out from these potatoes accompanied by the cold weather, awesome. They are sold at around RM7+- per 100g.

#4  Pressie from le bii. Happiest girlfriend in the world. Have always wanted an interchangeable lens camera because its chic, nah, I needed a new camera for filming, okay? Thats why I stopped making youtube videos because I cant get a good quality video done for my viewers. Also in white, guess white is in all my things these days.

+Vintry 's. Ever since we dine in at Morganfield's we have been through in search of whole KL for good pork ribs. Love at first sight for ribs evolves from there. Enthrilled by the menus I searched online, decided to pick this one. Their branch in Ampang is dam hard to locate, gps wont cooperate and friday jams make it even worse. Same row as La Risatta (on my trial list)

#5  For sharing, Vintry Meat Platter. Personally, to be having these alone is abit too salty-ish. Nevertheless, pork salami (sorry, I have zero clues about other meats, their names sounds too weird for me, but dishes here are all pork based) is well cut into thin slices. I would prefer this as an appetizer instead.

#6  BBQ Pork Ribs. Picked this because of the recommendation handsign on the menu. I prefer to have a drier smoked type of ribs, so they would easily come off from their bones. These dissapoints me, ends up with tired hands trying to rip meats off bones. Plus, I dont think the amount of sauce fits well. But their mashed potatoes is good. Anything cheesy add points.

#7  Beringer @RM25/glass. Its a tradition to pair ribs with wines. Since I am driving, we had wines in glasses instead. People don't come Vintry to dine. They come for wines and champagnes. So expect to see few tables at dinner time and more diners after 9pm.

#8  Birthday girls getting birthday cake for themselves. :LOL. Officially 24. Although food was not that satisfying, we had a calm night pillow talking ;)

Despite the downside of Ampang, I heard their Damansara branch is good. Might give it a try next.
