[Travel] Bali Trip 2012- Day 4

Checked in to Pop Hotel Kuta Beach after Sunari for the night. I was amazed by the vibrant colour and young feeling this hotel potrays. The building / waiting areas / rooms are fully decorated with pop bright colours. Instantly the environment left us feeling energetic the next day. Equipped with basics like hot water, tv, wifi, this hotel is affordable and worthwhile for its cheaper price. Staffs here are also unbelievably young teenagers.

A pool is provided. The bathroom feels like a Bigbang spaceship as according to one of my travelmates. It was uniquely built like none other you can find in Msia.
So versatile we even turned it into a bartop.
A five or seven star? hotel behind Pop Kuta. Large pool is love.
Private pool in the balcony! How cool is that?? I think its rm600+ per night.
The 2002 Bali bombing memorial at the site of the original Paddy's Pub.

Thereafter, we proceeded to visit Tanjong Benoa. Alot of water activities (parachuting, banana boat, speedboat) could be found here.

Despite water activities, we sat in a glass bottom boat on our way to turtle farm across. The glass bottom enables tourists to view the bottom  sea visible of turtles, small fishes, algaes, sands and rocks? haha. Breadcrumbs are also provided FOC for fish feeding.Water everywhere in Bali is so blue green clear and clean you can even view the bottom!

Everyone given a chance to carry a turtle.

Giant turtles that are already 80 yrs old. Bear that, their shell is very heavy,so imagine the breath and sweat taken to lift them.

Beside turtles, there are also snakes, iguana, bats, eagles, hawks and falcons.

Lunch at Malioboro. I dont know if it is famous, but we see alot of tourists here. The food is okay and their best dishes are special. Medium priced.

Garuda Wisnu Kencana. Houses the highest statue in Bali. Kadek says they even plan to build it higher than Statue of Liberty! However, the entrance fee is very expensive. 100K = around RM30 for two famous statues. More info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garuda_Wisnu_Kencana and http://gwk-culturalpark.com/

Carvings that displays the story behind.

Dreamland beach. The beach is crowded with sexy babes and manly ang mos. Massage available for a fee. DOnt know why, I feel super hot here. The sun rays seems tingling painful even standing for only a short while.

Waves here makes it ideal for surfing! People in Bali go around with their surfing boards. Most own at least one and even made special hooks on bike so that they can carry anywhere.

Too hot, we had to leave. LOL. Uluwatu temple. Stands for rocks at the land's end. http://www.uluwatu.org/uluwatu.shtml

Monkeys. Precautionary signs have been put at a few places to remind about their aggressiveness. Tourists are advised to take off my sunglasses and hid cameras . I did not experience any bad incidents with them but I did leave them in the car. At sunset, Kecak dance performance is held here everyday. And, it goes without saying that sunset viewing at Uluwatu is one of the must-do in Bali.

We missed sunset at Uluwatu for sunset at Jimbaran beach. Restaurants are along the coast of Jimbaran and people come here for seafood :P Fine place for wedding ^^

Lonely guy watching sunset.

Transitions of sunset, Beautiful.

Somehow, we did not have dinner by the beach. Too pricey :P Instead we went to Krisna market, another bigger market for snacks and souvenirs. After trays and trays of reloading and wallet emptying, we decided to makan dinner tepi jalan (by the roadside). To our surprise, the roadside food is even more delicious than those of restaurants. And way too cheap! Mee soto for only Rm3.50. Also check out: Lontong, mee goreng/nasi, bakso etc.Tip: If you see alot of locals there, then definitely choose that stall!

Next up: Day 5
