[Travel] Bali trip 2012-Day 3

After a good night rest at such a comfortable villa, everyone was tempted and overjoyed about next day's tour. Oh ya, forgot to mention that we went to the local mart the night before straight after dropping our things at sunari to get some basics eg, water, maggi all sorts of things. Prices of goods in these marts are mostly like our 7-11 here and of course way cheaper than those sold in tourist attraction places. Marts could be found along the road on the front of villas and resorts as they are just by the beach, distantly spaced from one another, short walking distance. So convenient right?

A friend of mine recommended this to me, only that she mentioned candies, but instead of sweets, I found this. Pocari is an isotonic drink, similar to 100 plus, but tastes not as sweet as that. And cost lesser than a can of 100 plus too.. Depending on places, this drink may costs 4k +/-

Our piles of food to munch for supper. Their maggi is superb! Buy two of the same brand get one free.
As mentioned, Bali turns bright early, can you guys guess what time is this picture taken? Yes, it was 5.30am in the morning. Imagine 5.30 in Msia, the sky is still black. Boats to fetch us out for watching dolphins.

Being sea sick, I am so proud of myself to have endured the rocking waves to reach middle of the sea. Can anyone name me the sea? Izit Bali sea or Java sea?? We are along the coastline of Lovina.

Arent these creatures adorable? First ever experience watching dolphins alive in the sea. Mostly we watched them perform in the aquarium or stage as the one I saw in HK. Still prefer them to be swimming freely in the sea. Joanne say they immune to the boats d lar, if not they wouldnt appear as the speeding engines noises disrupts their soundwave communication. So pity these dolphins, amples of boats chasing after them.

Not long after, the sun begins to rise directly behind us. Beautiful.

Owh, the resort provides buffet breakfast.

After breakfast, of course must relax awhile by the pool and enjoying the sun la.

Checking out. Bye sunari. My favourite accommodation place, its really relaxing. :( Other than dolphin watching, famous activities includes snorkeling. Would love to try that, but unfortunately, time does not permit us to do so.

Next destination: Ulun Dhanu Lake temple. Famous for the temple standing on lake. This place reminds me of the princess royal palace in Beijing, as the palace is also in the middle of the lake. More info of Ulun Danu here http://www.balistarisland.com/Bali-Interesting-Place/Beratan-Temple.htm

Picture courtesy of Hoon Wah, He takes nice pictures ^^

Of course cannot less is camwhore, since the sun makes my hair so blonde.

Buffet lunch at Saranam eco resort with rice terrace view. Again, the place looks like those homestays in Korea!

Simple lunch. Choose either rice/noodles.

Tanah lot sea temple. The temple stands on top of a rocky land overlooking Indian Ocean. It serves as a holy place to worship the Balinese sea gods. Poisonous sea snakes are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders.

Pura batu bolong. The rock underneath the temple has a natural hole that gives its name, batu bolong. http://www.indonesia-tourism.com/forum/showthread.php?1651-Pura-Batu-Bolong-Lombok
The temple is orientated towards Gunung Agung, Bali's holiest mountain, and is a favoured spot to watch the sunset

Jumping tradition of the group is a must in yearly travel trip. Accompanied by the sunset behind -perfect.

Stopped by to quench thirst at one of the restaurants on the mainland cliff tops. Right: An adorable dog of the owner, Sausage! He's so small ur palm can even fit.

Too bored with buffet, Kadek bought us to this vegetarian restaurant. Since he is a vegetarian himself, he can suggest good places for vegetarians :) Clockwise: Sambal petai, soup, longbeans, i dont know whats that, haha. these were the dishes of the next table. Our table ordered kuey teow? and bakso.

In case you are asking for places to purchase souvenirs, kadek brought us to this Hawaii market/ole-ole khas bali. Whatever you intend to find, you can find it there. They houses souvenirs, clothes, famous snacks, coffee, soaps, scarfs etc. Prices as according to kadek, are cheaper than those sold outside. I will blog about another bigger market in the next post.

Till then,
MayMay
